Miramonte is a beautiful community where I am glad to call it home. I never seem to have a real problem with anything. My apartment is really cute. I love the view of the woods behind my patio.
Do not apply to live at Ridgewood Arches. When I applied, they told me my security deposit was fully refundable if I decided not to move in. One week later I decided not to move in, and they refused to refund my $300 deposit. They do not run a fair business and I would not trust to ever rent with them. If this is how they treat an applicant I can't imagine how they treat someone who lives there.
I lived there for two years and most everything was fine until I decided to move out. A clerical error on their end resulted in my being threatened by their lawyer (late enough that I couldn't reply) and then being sued. They then admitted they were in the wrong...yet a few weeks later they tried to charge me for all this again. Along with all this, they gave me a list of damages (most of which were false) and mentioned that I never paid a deposit. I had paid $400 in deposits. I was informed by their staff that what I paid was "fees" and not "deposits" and as such it wasn't refundable and wouldn't be put towards these bills. What did I pay for then? The friendly staff then laughed at me and told me to read what I sign. This whole company is very shady and tries to mislead you. I have filed complaints with every agency I could find to get my money back but I don't hold out much hope. This is my payback to them. They stole my deposit so I'm spreading the word on how deceitful they are. DO NOT GO THERE!
Do not rent from Talmar Wood. Cheap rent isnt even worth it. Here are some of the reasons I will NEVER rent here again.
-consistant problem with mice
-MAJOR mold problem that maintenace continues to ignore
-extremely rude staff at the main offic
-little to no parking (they only provide one parking spot per apartment)
-always trying to up ur rent
-winter time, they plow your car in..
-always jip you on security deposit
whatever you do people...avoid this place...they take "slumlord" to a whole new level.
