Absolute Hell		Las Vegas, NV Oasis Place 12/30/2007
Parking: Grounds: Safety: Construction: Cleanliness: Noise: Maintenance: Office Staff: This is by far the worst environment I've ever lived in, and I've lived in military barracks and on ships. It seemed real nice when we moved in, nice neighbors, no noise, a little small, but comfortable. Then the nice, quiet South Asian neighbors below us moved out and new ones moved in. Bring on the superloud mariachi music and cigarettes wafting up through the windows! The music was so loud below us it destroyed our evenings. We complained and complained, and finally they moved over to another building. It was nice and quiet, then four months later a new family moved in. Bring on the loud surround sound TV and stereo in the living room AND bedrooms. Since they moved in, our life has been hell. Every night we've had to battle the loud noise. We've tried to talk to them and were cursed out. We complained multiple times to the management office, to no avail. Sometimes we can't get to sleep at night because the loud TV in the bedroom. In the summertime we can't sit on our balcony or have our door open because the smoke from their cigarettes would come wafting in, reeking up the place. Sometimes our daughter's bedroom will reek of cigarettes through the floor. Then we found out the teenage son was on probation, mostly through the many times the cops have been called out to that apartment from fighting with the parents. One of the cops even told me, "Yeah, we're sure there are drugs in there." Yeah, our family feels real safe in this hellhole! I went to the office to complain again, and nothing was done about the noise. I told them I wanted out of this lease, and was offered another apartment. Why would I want to move into another apartment here, or anywhere run by this company? If we broke the lease, we'd have to pay a whole month's rent, in addition to trying to get a new place. Can't afford it on my military pay. This place was on the military's recommendation list at Fort Meade. I'll do everything I can to make sure it is taken off as soon as possible. I'd hate to see any other serviceman live in this hellhole. Our lease is up in April and we're counting the days! Trust me, avoid this place!!! If you're in the military and considering this place or any AIMCO property, look at the reviews!

Parking: Grounds: Safety: Construction: Cleanliness: Noise: Maintenance: Office Staff: From the standpoints of safety, noise, poor tenant behavior, and indifferent management, I'd rate this apartment poorly. Their criteria for evaluating prospective tenants clearly went downhill in the year I lived there.

Parking: Grounds: Safety: Construction: Cleanliness: Noise: Maintenance: Office Staff: I would not reccomend these apartments. The manager is basically the manager's two teenage daughters. There is bias abound and if you are not her friend, you dont get things in your apartment fixed, such as a toilet or kitchen sink, and always get threatened to get charged with it yourself. Not to mention they will evict and a seconds notice without reason, and never give you your deposit back!! I would reccomend moving somewhere else!Save yourself the trouble!!

Not to mention there are six washes and dryers for almost 60 apts!Most apts have cabinetry and appliances from the 1960s or 1970s. Also, they have a nasty *rooster*roach problem!!

The girls in the office are lazy and would rather talk to their friends than do their job. There is mold in our apartment that they won't take care of, but in the lease it says we can't treat the mold ourselves. Our neighbors were allowed to grow marijuana on their patio and smoke it too, until I finally had to call the police. There is trash everywhere, people throw it over their balcony's. The noise from other apartments is also a big problem(TV's, stereos, drums, etc...) so if you plan to live here be sure to program the LaPorte police into your phone because you will need it at some point guaranteed.

Parking: Grounds: Safety: Construction: Cleanliness: Noise: Maintenance: Office Staff: DO NOT even waste your time...the sign outside says, "You'll love it here." False advertisement at its best!!! I've had wedding gifts ($50 crystal bowl) actually signed out to another resident - after complaining, I only got a $50 rental credit?? I'm sure the people that purchased that wedding gift would love to know this. I have also been threatened by 3 doormen for having a dog, even though I pay $40/mo to have a dog here!!! And today, I walk outside only to find that someone had hit my car - so much for 24-hour surveillance!! Management is awful - they will not help you...what an awful place to live...unsafe, overpriced and unpleasant.

If you like NOISE move here!		Las Vegas, NV Camden Palisades 12/26/2007
Parking: Grounds: Safety: Construction: Cleanliness: Noise: Maintenance: Office Staff: If you like to constantly here your neighbors tv and stereo then this is your place. The walls must have been made with rice paper. You can here everything! It never stops. You can almost make out word for word what they are talking about and know exactly where they are when they come home when there not home when the kid wakes up crying everything!! The leasing office knows about the problem and does nothing real to stop it. They said "for some reason in that floorplan you can here noises alot worse". I guess when they throw up apartment complexes out here in a week what can you expect. In the summer no cold water and the AC just runs and runs but you're sweating in bed.

NOT A GOOD VALUE		Henderson, NV Camden Commons 12/09/2007
Parking: Grounds: Safety: Construction: Cleanliness: Noise: Maintenance: Office Staff: Ever since we moved to this apartment we've had continous maintenance problems from every appliance in there (even the new ones)! Maintenance is a bit understaffed but the guys do try to get the job done. The office staff is uncaring of the maintenance problems and snotty to deal with over recurring problems. The leasing agents did not disclose concerns about smoking odors and sound problems. We've been out hundreds of dollars in air purifiers, vacuums and even had to remove from the premises for two days (at our complete expense of course) when we first moved in because the apartment had odor problems not eradicated prior to our move in. The noise is a real problem -- the child above is jumps several hours an evening and the dog barks in the middle of the night. The neighbors apartment odors seep into ours -- we have family who have better noise and odor control living in government housing. Forget about that 14 day satisfaction guarantee they offer in their pamphlet -- all the property management staff offered us was a move up two flights of stairs as a trade! This apartment complex is poorly managed and the worst value in town. I'll never rent another apartment after this nightmare!
