new management awful		Phoenix, AZ Alegria at Paradise Valley 12/08/2007
Parking: Grounds: Safety: Construction: Cleanliness: Noise: Maintenance: Office Staff: My husband and I have lived at Estancia for 4 years now and the first 3.5 years were great which is why we stayed for so long. This new management and maintenance team is awful. First it is noisy. There are skateboarders, (which is supposedly not allowed) at all hours. Random people jump the gate and surrounding walls walking around. The landscapers start at 7 in the morning and are often times just outside the window for 30 minutes or longer. Our cars have been vandalized twice here in the past two months. Maintenance does not show up when they say they will and they seem like ex-cons. They're lazy and seem to take the easy way out of fixing problems. The staff does not return calls promptly, if at all. Their follow up is non existent. Their new "security" comes and hangs out in the parking lot often chatting with their gangster friends who visit or it is an old man who does not make me feel safe at all. Parking is outrageous with all kinds of unauthorized cars in the lot sneaking in behind you at the gate. Just for the record, we are a quiet couple in our 30's whom have never paid rent a day late or have any reason to lie. Our file is clean of complaints or problems against us. So please choose wisely when renting an apartment

Don't believe a word...		Tucson, AZ The Overlook at Pantano 12/05/2007
Parking: Grounds: Safety: Construction: Cleanliness: Noise: Maintenance: Office Staff: Management made all kinds of promises before we moved in, telling us construction would be completed before we moved in--it wasn't done for months afterward. We were subjected to constant noise, dust and dirt, having to move cars or have them towed, shady workers around, construction trash and debris, etc. We were told they were putting in lots of places to exercise pets--everyone has to walk their dogs in circles around the small parking lot because there isn't even a sidewalk that leads out of the community and it's off a busy highway. We were told everything would be convenient--after we moved in they moved the dumpster to the back of the community (over 300 yds away) to an ill-let space that backs up to scary woods. Everyone in the building signed a petition to have a second dumpster put in--despite prolonged efforts this was denied due to "lack of funds." A couple days later a wine and cheese party was held for the company executives in the lavish (and off-limits) clubhouse. They'll smile and tell you whatever you want to hear, but we've found it's all lies. Also, the walls are thin as paper, the community is partly for affordable housing and several cars were broken into just weeks after we moved in. This place is the worse community I've ever lived in.

This is NOT a safe place to live!!!		Glendale, AZ Glen Oaks 12/03/2007

We listen and respond to our residents' needs.” This is a quote taken from the apartment owner’s website. If only it were true. There have been at least two burglaries at this complex in the last month. The leasing managers are actively hiding this from the residents there. DO NOT RENT HERE UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED TO BE ROBBED!! It’s true, burglaries can happen anywhere…but not telling residents about robberies going on in the complex should be a crime. They’re putting people’s lives in danger by not telling them. This is definitely NOT a safe place to live!!
